Renovation of the existing CBC building in Regina to allow for the consolidation of all the provincial archives from various facilities across the province. This involves the reinforcing and underpinning of the existing structure due to the high loading requirements of the storage materials. Renovation of all office space to allow for the relocation of all provincial archive’s employees including creating a public function/viewing area for the public to use when accessing the archive documents. Other work included hoardings, selective demolition, new basement concrete slab, walls and stairs, masonry repairs, millwork, new walls, doors, ceilings and flooring, vapour barrier for archive storage rooms, new platform lifts, HVAC and plumbing, and electrical work. A specialized fogging deluge fire protection system including fire alarm for the archive records was installed.
